Our Brands

Living Cheer FAQs

Find answers to common questions about our cheer footwear and services.

We stock four different brands of cheer shoes: Nfinity, Kaepa, Zephz and NIKE.

For Nfinity and Nike cheer shoes, our general guideline is to order half a size larger than your usual outdoor shoe size.

Kaepa and Zephz cheer shoes generally fit true to size, so we recommend ordering your usual outdoor shoe size.

Cheer shoes are specifically designed for performance, offering lightweight construction, enhanced grip, and flexibility for stunts, tumbling, and jumps - all the movements you do when cheerleading.

Cheer shoes provide better ankle support and shock absorption. Normal trainers are built for general wear or sport, making them heavier and less suited to the precision, agility, and safety required in cheerleading.

For cheerleading, you wear specialist cheer shoes designed for performance.
Living Cheer stocks cheer shoes from Nfinity, Kaepa, Nike and Zephz, with styles suitable for beginners, developing athletes and experienced competitors.

Cheerleading shoes are lightweight, flexible, and provide strong grip for stunts, tumbling, and jumps. Popular options include brands like Nfinity, Nike, Kaepa and Zephz, chosen based on your level beginner, intermediate, or advanced and/or your club’s recommendations.

Great shoes for beginners are the Cheerlyte or Zenith.

For more experienced cheerleaders the Flyte (for flyers) or the Vengeance are great options.

We stock cheer shoes for every stage of a cheerleader’s journey. The Kaepa Cheerlyte and Zephz Zenith are great choices for young athletes and beginners, while the Kaepa Stellarlyte, Nfinity Vengeance and Nfinity Flyte are designed for more experienced cheerleaders. If you’re unsure which style is right for you, simply message us - we’ll be happy to help.

Cheer shoes are specifically designed for girls and women who take cheerleading seriously! Firstly, they need to be super light-weight. You are going to tumble, flip, under-take complex routines, and fly through the air. The shoes you wear need to be very light and supportive. Do not wear dance shoes, jazz shoes or white "fashion" shoes - these will damage your feet and ankles whilst cheerleading.

They should be very flexible at the front, but be secure around the heel and over the foot. They should have a glove-like fit without cuasing any pain to the person wearing them.

If you want to ask a specific question answered about cheer shoes you can always message us on WhatsApp. It's the green disc, with a telephone icon in the middle, found at the bottom right-hand side of a desk-top, or mobile screen.

Cheer shoes should fit snugly, but not uncomfortably tight. A close fit gives better control, stability, and safety during stunts and tumbling.

Don't buy with "growing room". The foot will slide about or toes will try to "grip" the shoe to make it stay on - these can all lead to injuries.

Your foot shouldn’t slide inside the shoe, but you should still be able to wiggle your toes slightly. Always prioritise comfort, as overly tight shoes can cause pain and affect performance.

Cheer shoes are designed for indoor use on mats, not for wearing outside.

Outdoor surfaces can wear down the grip and cushioning quickly, reducing performance and safety. They can also carry grit which will scratch and damage floors.

It’s best to keep them clean and only use them for training and competitions to help them last longer and perform properly.
